Any time I have the chance to shoot in Tulsa, I take it! A couple of my best friends live in Broken Arrow & Bartlesville, so I always love a good excuse to drive up and spend some quality time with them. When Presley reached out and told me she was graduating from Northeastern State – Broken Arrow, but wanted to do her session in the city, I was ALL ABOUT IT! I’ve touched briefly on the importance of scouting and this shoot was no exception. I got to Utica Square a bit early and did a little walk around to pick out a few of our go-to spots. You would be AMAZED at some of the spots we made happen for backgrounds. (Follow along on Instagram for a little peak behind the scenes to see what a few of these spots actually looked like!). Goes to show that if you know your lighting and are willing to get creative and shoot tight and in small spaces, you can make a lot happen!
Presley is graduating with a psychology degree and is eager to be applying and interviewing for PA school. I give so much credit to my girls who continue their education beyond their undergraduate years because I don’t think I could do it! I was never a big studier, and it’s honestly amazing I got through college hah.
One of my favorite things about Presley was that she was a little sweet and a little sassy! She didn’t even hesitate when I gave her a “Beyonce model face” prompt! I am so pumped for all the exciting dreams she’s set to pursue!
(Also funfact – the while dress she wore that literally fits her like it was MADE FOR HER was from Amazon!?! I was impressed!)
