Outside of family, one of the first couples I photographed at the start of my business was Hope & Taylor. (Check out that old blog for some 2016 throwbacks!) At the time, they were just dating (this was early 2012!), and Hope was a sorority sister from my hometown. I had seen photos of the two of them celebrating the holidays together in Plano, and went out on a whim to ask them to model for me at Arbor Hills. I had no idea what I was doing, but I remember getting back to my house after the shoot and feeling on top of the world. These two make you feel like you are THE most important person. And I honestly think that was the first taste of post-shoot giddies I ever had, too!

They officially became the Langleys several years later, and have literally walked through every stage of my business with me. I was SO excited to take their engagement photos in 2014 and then some updated family photos in 2016! Here we are today, celebrating their almost 5th wedding anniversary in their gorgeous 100 year old home in Mesta Park! We’ve been dreaming of this at-home shoot for a while and it did not disappoint! I’m not kidding when I say I could photograph them for hours – there is an ease and comfort they have with each other, with me, and in front of the camera, that make them one of the most laid back and easiest couples I get to work with. If you were to catch a behind-the-scenes look at our time together, you would have seen a lot of cute moments of them just loving on each other + me giving minor directives here and there to keep them camera-ready and give variety. Honestly they could pose themselves and be pros.

I love the Langleys. I love that they have been one of the most prevalent examples in my life of what a Christ-centered marriage looks like. It’s a blessing to know and be known by them!!! I adore you two!!
