I went to three malls in one day last week. THREE! That’s I guess what happens when you’re in Plano, Texas for the week and have 5 days off of work! I originally didn’t plan to take the entire week to be out of office, but after I booked with Alex for his proposal to Allie in Highland Park, I figured it would make the most sense to just stay in town & enjoy the extra time with family! It was worth it. And I am so thankful to have that flexibility and the benefit of time off through OU.

Outside of the excessive mall trips, the week consisted of lots of babies (my niece and 3 nephews were around at various times almost every day), playing catchup with client workflow and the business side of things, lunch with my friend Nicolette, a Thanksgiving meal at my middle sister’s house, Christmas/Black Friday shopping (LOTS of it), quality time with my mom and dad, breakfast with my whole family on Saturday, and capping off the weekend with a sweet family shoot before driving back to Oklahoma!

I’m the only one of my immediate family that doesn’t live in the Dallas area, so to be there for the get togethers and playdates is special. It’s one of the reasons I love the summertime and going to the lake – we are almost always all gathering for the three big summer holidays and the chaos of all 11 of us in one house is pretty amusing. I’ll be back in town in two weeks for a quick weekend visit, and then of course again at Christmas and I’m looking forward to celebrating the holidays all together!
