Calyn – OU Graduation Photos – Norman OK Photographer

I don’t know if it gets any better than Calyn. Everything about this shoot was on point.

Each year, I know less and less of the girls I shoot with because I’m another year out of school. Getting together with someone I’ve spent a bit of time with brings feelings of relief – almost like I can be MORE myself. Or maybe it’s because it feels like less pressure since they know more about me and who I am? I’m not sure why, but it’s always fun! Calyn has been going through the graduate program with my best friend, Claire, so we have actually hung out a few times since she’s lived in Norman. It was so good for my heart to share quality time and conversation with Calyn.

This girl absolutely killed it in every area – the outfits, hair and makeup, posing, and the over-all goal for the shoot. Since she received her undergraduate degree at Baylor, there weren’t as many “OU” spots she wanted to capture (other than the Union!), which gave me a lot of creative freedom and honestly was a fun little challenge! I tend to work in a pattern – moving in one direction on campus throughout the entire shoot, stopping at my main locations (Bizz, white staircase, Evans, etc.), and then adding in a few unique places for each girl I photograph. We went totally off course this week and I was giddy with the results! I still had to throw in the library shots, because they’re not OU graduation photos without them! 🙂
