OU 2020 Senior | Ashley W. | OU Graduation Photographer
OU Graduation Photos | Ashley
I could tell right off the bat that Ashley was going to be wonderful. Sincere, graceful, bubbly, and a fast friend. When we connected in March about rescheduling, she couldn’t have been more personable and understanding. And that was just over email!
Ashley’s shoot came at the end of a very long two-week period for me.
Truthfully, I was pretty wiped out this day. When I got to campus, I gave myself a little pep talk and prayed for Ashley and for our time together. As soon as she and her mom walked up to meet me, I felt a huge sense of relief! I immediately recognized the same personable and energetic girl I had connected with over email. And her joy was contagious! It couldn’t have been more of a gift to photograph Ashley, but especially on a day that I needed it most.
We related on a handful of things that are very personal to both of us –
Being in long distance relationships (her long-time boyfriend went to school at Baylor), the wonderful influence of our sorority and sorority sisters (Ashley was a Gamma Phi!), our love for Norman and the OU campus, and education on women’s health (that’s a blog post for another day, hah!). So proud of this girl! She has a job lined up in Dallas as a high risk OB nurse – a role that she couldn’t be more tailer-made for! I can already picture her being the perfect person to help mommas and babies! I also particularly loved how much Ashley’s mom also loved OU. You could tell, even as a Texas A&M graduate, that she cherished the impact that OU had on her daughter and all the memories they made here. They are the sweetest mother/daughter pair and I enjoyed getting to spend time with mom just as much as I did Ashley!
Thank you Ashley for being one of my all-time favorites, but also thank you JESUS for the gift this girl is and will continue to be!
