OU 2021 Senior | Krista | Fall Senior Photos Oklahoma
Krista gives me all the fairy princess vibes!!! This sweet friend is endearing, smart, and I came to find out that she handles curve balls like a CHAMP! Due to an unforeseen circumstance, she came in to our session a bit stressed, but within maybe 5 minutes of kicking things off and shooting, we were golden! She was full of grace and beauty and that hair is a dream!!! So gorgeous!
I remember the first time I photographed Krista – I was working in Admissions & Recruitment and taking headshots for our Honors Ambassadors! Every August, I was usually photographing up to 120+ students in an hour or two – literally one to two photos per person and then we rotated through to the next student. It was always a TON of fun, but also a ton of work! I always found myself wanting to say hello and talk to each person who came up to my camera. I guess that is both part of the blessing and the struggle – I’ve always enjoyed the one-on-one quality time I get to spend with each of my seniors, but I never want to take up too much time talking!! Anyways – I quickly snapped her headshot a few years ago, early on in her college career, but I never forgot how naturally beautiful she was! I remember thinking in that moment that I would have LOVED to take her senior photos, and here we are!!!
I feel like I have a new appreciation for my clients now that I’ve been photographed for my own engagement session and wedding – spending so much time in FRONT of the camera is hard work! There is often times a feeling of being “on” and totally aware of your body positioning and facial expressions. As the photographer, it’s my job to help you be at ease, feel comfortable, and natural! I hope I am able to succeed at that with each shoot!
So excited for and impressed by Krista! She is graduating a year early, and is pursuing medical school following graduation! Loved getting to spend a bit of quality time together, learn that we share a hometown (shoutout, Plano!) and chat all things OU!
