When I say this was a dream session, you know it’s going to be a good one!

Meghan, Austin, and Charlotte were such a delight to photograph this past spring in celebration of Charlotte’s first birthday. They were looking for a family photographer in Bartlesville and found me on Instagram – I was thrilled to meet them! Meghan actually came over a few days before our shoot to try on a handful of dresses from the new client closet. Earlier this year, I started collecting a beautiful closet full of dresses available to borrow for full lifestyle sessions and it has been so much fun getting to share in the excitement, share from the closet, and help mamas feel their very best! One of the things I’ve been loving about it is that it’s one less thing you have to worry about. When I was pregnant (and now post-partum!) I had no idea what size I was going to be for our maternity photos or Bartlesville newborn photos…thinking about ordering a couple options online and then having to try on and deal with returns was really stressing me out (especially with the lack of shopping options here in town!). The client closet takes those worries completely off the table! Meghan ended up with two of my favorites from the closet and they were perfect for her!

Funny enough, we found out at the start of the session that Jonathan actually knew Austin from an internship at Conoco back in college! And then we put two and two together and realized that we had actually run into Austin and Charlotte at our local brewery back when Charlotte was just a few months old! I love living in this town and making connections like this!

It’s been a little while since I’ve blogged a session, but I’m hoping to get back on track to share more of the Bartlesville family photos we’ve captured this year, and of course I will continue to share work throughout our busy fall season!
