Life Lately | Birthday Weekend Texas BBQ & April Snaps
Last week, we celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday! If you know the Fosters, then you probably know that our extended family lives all across the country. I have aunts and uncles in Alabama, Maryland, Ohio, Florida, my grandpa is in north Georgia, and cousins scattered all across the east coast. It’s rare that more than my immediately family is all together, and even that is difficult now that there’s 11 of us total. I can’t even imagine how the Kardashians & Duggars do it, hah! We had family from both my mom’s side of the family and my dad’s side in town to help us celebrate! We pretty much spent the whole weekend hanging out and eating – dinner at the club on Friday, and a backyard BBQ on Saturday! I didn’t get to take nearly as many photos as I wanted to (and especially after how many I took for my Dad’s 60th!) but I am hopeful that I’ll be out at the lake a lot more this summer to make up for it!
My parents are also celebrating FORTY YEARS OF MARRIAGE this June. I cannot wrap my head around that! That is huge!
Here are some of my favorites from the weekend, along with a handful of iPhone snaps from other events this month!
Mimommy and her grandbabies! I AM DEAD!!!!!!!!! THIS IS JUST WAY TOO CUTE! My favorite part of photographing BBQ are the details! Nic & I became friends when we both lived in Nashville, and she’s been making Dallas home the past few years. We get together when I am home and I LOVE getting to keep up! She’s spent a lot of time with my family & her nickname from my niece and nephew is Nicowette haha. I don’t know whose idea this was but it’s hilarious.
And now for a few “life lately” updates! –
– Claire and Sam’s wedding shower
– “BB Jims” (the nicknames people get when there are kids around…it is hilarious)
– Possibly one of my favorite and most prized projects I’ve pursued since I’ve been back at OU hahaha!
– Meredith’s bridal shower @ The Jones Assembly!
– Taco Tuesday @ The Gathering – this has easily become a highlight of my week!
