This week is a milestone week for me – I have a blog a day coming at ya! Miss Emery is #3 out of 5 and I’m so thrilled to introduce her to y’all this Wednesday!

One of the best ways I have been supported and cheered on is through word-of-mouth (WOM) referrals. I don’t do any paid advertising – not even on Facebook! It is the best thing in the world when friends and clients recommend me to their friends, write reviews, share their images from their sessions, and also share their experiences with me! Emery came to me from as a WOM referral after I photographed Bre & Will’s proposal & engagement (they were Kappas together!), and then Trey & Keely‘s just a few months ago! We were both at the Hoehner’s house that night celebrating the dear couple!!

I loved how sure of herself Emery was. She is mature and stands firm & confident in her foundation and identity. I loved that she was not afraid to be a little silly for a couple of photos too! I wanted her to not just have a good time on our shoot, but to look like she had a good time! I definitely think we hit the mark! This girl was involved in Kappa and jumped in to just about every opportunity to sing and dance – Homecoming, USING, and Scandals were some of her favorite college memories during her time at OU. We also made sure to make a stop by the stadium to snag some photos of her in one of her dad’s old jerseys! He played safety on the 1985 OU National Championship team!

Emery is pursuing a job in marketing after graduation and I can’t wait to see what is in store for her! I selfishly am hoping she ends up staying in the OKC area so that we can stay friends – I would LOVE to have her in front of my camera again soon!
