Proposals are my favorite. Ever.

Getting to be in on the secret and pulling off a surprise, capturing a moment in time that flashes before your eyes, and seeing the purest form of excitement and love between a couple. Plus, they are always a challenge! From making sure the surprise actually stays a surprise to lighting to keeping people in public places from ruining the moment. There is SO MUCH that goes into it and a lot that most people wouldn’t even think about!

Working with Will on planning the perfect proposal for Breana was a fun couple of weeks. We had probably 3 or 4 different plans in place throughout the whole time. When it came down to it, everything on the day of was perfect. Except for the Sooner loss but it’s fine we won’t talk about it…

Will, Ross (who’s dating one of Breana’s best friends), Haylee (Will’s sister), and the other Will (Haylee’s husband) all got to the lake early with me to get set up. Ross played into the plan perfectly – he was supposed to call his girlfriend, who was “going to dinner” with Breana and some friends, and let her know his car wouldn’t start. The girls made their way to us at the lake, where Ross got out and gave Breana a note from Will. Meanwhile, we were all hiding behind the car watching this go down. When she realized what was happening, Will made his way to her to meet her at the dock. There, he read another note, got down on one knee, and heard the best YES! of his life!!

We celebrated with some quick portraits, photos with friends, and then a few family pics!

I couldn’t imagine a more perfect evening for Will and Breana!!  I am honored Will invited me to help them cherish the moment forever!! Congratulations you two!!
