celebrating OU seniors and Bartlesville and Tulsa families through photography.

Hey, y’all!

I’m Melanie, the girl behind the lens at Melanie Foster Photography. Whether you’re getting ready for your upcoming OU senior or your Bartlesville or Tulsa family photography experience, I hope you’ll stay a while, pick up a few tips, and be inspired for your own MFP photo session!

Our time with Taylor and her parents was life-giving. That might sound overdramatized, but it truly felt like this session was meant to be! Jonathan and I left Taylor’s shoot around 8PM and didn’t stop talking about how enjoyable the evening was all the way through dinner and our 45 minute drive home! It was just one of those experiences that was so wonderful, you can’t help but feel a little undeserving. Here’s why –

Taylor couldn’t have been more easy going, more beautiful, or more sweet spirited. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree because her mom was just as wonderful! We had been chatting back and forth for several weeks about the photos and as our date approached, the excitement hit me all at once! We picked out a fantastic lineup of locations for Taylor’s downtown Tulsa senior pictures and I knew they would be a hit – the perfect mix of cool, casual, with a little NYC-vibe which sounded like it was just what she was hoping for! And both Taylor and Alisa seemed just as excited as I was! Jonathan and Alisa got to chatting as I asked Taylor about her high school experience, athletics (track AND volleyball girl!) her hopes for college, an impressive internship she has this summer, and more. Taylor strikes me as a girl who is everyone’s best friend – a kind and gentle soul, and such an encouragement to be around.

Not only did we thoroughly enjoy their company, but we also had the best time shooting! Taylor does not take a bad photo. I mean that. If there were any “bad” pictures from the 600+ we captured, it was because I was the one who missed focus or my composition wasn’t quite up to my standard. I could have edited every single one of them and she would be just as beautiful and radiant!

We are big fans of you, Taylor! And big fans of the Perkins family! Such a joy to celebrate with you!
