Okay, maybe I wasn’t either of these, but it sure feels like my heart grew deeper roots during my four years in Norman than it did anywhere else the other 19.5 years of my life. I’ve returned to Oklahoma as often as I could the past year and a half. Each time I left, the longing in my soul grew. I’ve always seen myself settling down in Oklahoma – buying a house on Lahoma Ave. (that’s the dream, right?), working for the University, building my business, and attending football games every Saturday in the fall. Even after graduation, as friends moved across the state and I started my adventure in Nashville, the tug at my heart to follow those dreams never wavered.

All of this to say – those dreams are finally coming true. I have accepted a position at the university and truly believe that this is where the Lord is calling me. I know that this step is best for me, my relationships, and my career, and I am humbled at the faithfulness of the God we serve.

I have absolutely loved my time in Nashville. It has been a time of growth and great adventure.. Living in this crazy town was also a dream come true. But for now, it is time for me to go home, where my heart really is happiest! Appropriately enough, my first weekend back in the state will be Homecoming weekend – October 28.
