I am the luckiest! Friday night we celebrated Madison & Nick’s proposal in the classic Spoonholder at OU! It was the perfect spot on campus, we had a gorgeous summer evening, and of course the most darling couple! Everything went off without a hitch!

Madison is one of my dearest friends from my time at OU! We lived together our senior year in a 7-girl house on Chautauqua Avenue. Funny story – we drew numbers for the room pick and both ended up in the smallest rooms and the tiniest bathroom in the third floor attic, but we LOVED it! We even snagged our own private kitchen upstairs and ended up being the perfect roomie pairing! That year was the same year that Madison and Nick met through the OU College of Architecture. While I don’t remember much about the two of them getting together, I do remember sitting at our little kitchen table hearing Madison talk about how cute he was as she excitedly bounced around the kitchen! (If you know Madison, then you know exactly what I’m talking about! She’s one of the bubbliest and funnest girlfriends, she’ll tell you like it is, and she makes everything SO much fun!)

When Nick reached out, he had his plan pretty much in place which made this process a breeze! On our initial call, we talked through his timing and a bit of the logistics. Jonathan and I were on a campus walk about two weeks prior to the big day, so we did a little run through and sent Nick the video so he could visualize it himself which was super helpful. I am so thankful to know the OU campus so well, too – we got to shoot their mini engagement session at a few of my favorite spots, and we got a TON of gorgeous portraits of them in a matter of about 15-20 minutes before they jetted off to their party!

A few of my favorite elements that you wouldn’t know just by looking at the photos – her ring box was hand-made by Nick, he bought the dress she was wearing, and he also had on his “Madison” socks, which are custom socks with her face on them! Hah! Also for my non-OU friends, the legend of the Spoonholder is that if a couple kisses inside, they are destined to be married!

Nick, you crushed it! Literally the most picture-perfect proposal! It was a dream to help celebrate with you two!
