Katelyn – 2018 OU Senior Portraits – Norman OK

Precious Katelyn! I couldn’t be more obsessed with this girl. She was a DOLL! She will graduate in the next three weeks with an energy management degree and has plans to move to Denver, CO soon after. Katelyn is joyful, lovable, genuine, and FUN.

I’ve found that weekend nights tend to be the most crowded for senior shoots, which is ironic to me because those are my last dates to always book. (Unless you are smart and decide to get a date now…and then we have all the time in the world!) We ended up having a fairly easy time on campus last Friday, even with Relay for Life going on at the same time in the South Oval! My favorite place I got to shoot with Katelyn was in front of Adams/Price (does anyone actually know which part is which of that building? Hah!). The light was magical when we got over there and they ended up being some of my favorite shots from the evening. Some people for sure want photos in front of their college building, and some could care less. Either way, it gives me some creative freedom and challenges me to find unique locations & angles on campus.

Occasionally,  you just click with people right off the bat. I wish Katelyn and I could have been friends while I was in school – she was endearing and I truly felt like I already knew her as soon as we met. Her shoot was the perfect start to the weekend and one of my busiest weeks of the month!
