I had admired Carsyn’s photography from afar until I moved back to Norman – then I got to admire it as her friend! I am so glad we got together for the first time just over a year ago because there is nothing like a friend that just gets it. This industry, especially as quickly as its growing, can be competitive and a bit cruel. It’s all too easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing or not doing and to compare yourself. To have someone who is doing the same thing as you that you can honestly learn from, share ideas with, and chit-chat about the latest and greatest – all while cheering you on, is a blessing.
Carsyn couldn’t have been any busier when we got together for our shoot and I am so grateful that we were able to get her scheduled early. I’ve photographed her twice before, which made this super fun because I knew she would knock it out of the park! AND SHE DID! Being in front of the camera when you’re not used to it is really freaking hard you guys. I know the feeling all too well because it never fully goes away, even after doing your own photoshoots. But she jumped right back in to the swing of things and is a natural. Plus she can pull off every single pose! And she moves constantly which makes my job so stinking easy.
Carsyn is graduating in May (obvi), but I am beyond proud of her because she’s taking her business FULL TIME! Any time I can’t take on a shoot or am booked, Carsyn is the girl I sent people to – I trust her, know her heart and passion is pure, and am confident in the work she produces! I am so eager for her and look forward to seeing all that is to come in the wedding world! You can check out Carsyn’s website HERE!
