Taryn K. | Sassy Spring Graduation Photos at OU

This shoot had everything – a gorgeous spring day, perfect light, fun campus locations for graduation photos, a spunky and sassy senior, and of course celebratory props! I LOVED photographing Taryn! She has such a fun personality and felt like a fast friend right off the bat. Her mom joined us for her shoot, and we made the most of the beautiful day celebrating her graduation! (Side note – the two of them make TikToks together, you have to check them out!) Taryn was one of my four girls who had a late April or early May date, so we were thankful to have the opportunity to get together as the state started opening up!

Taryn did a fantastic job personalizing her shoot. I do everything I can throughout the MFP experience to make each shoot unique to each of my girls, but it helped that she sprinkled in a few elements that were very “her’! That’s one of the best parts of graduation photos – as exciting as they are, there is no pressure to fit a mold or stereotype. They are the perfect opportunity to play into trends, be a little wild and fun, and bring in elements from what college has really been like the last few years. How cool will it be for Taryn to look back on these photos in 15-20 years and see so much of what spring 2020 looked like and meant to her? Her future kids will be able to see how cool she was, what the OU campus looked like, and that she strived for a sense of normalcy and joy amidst the pandemic!
