If you visited last week’s blogs, then you know THIS is the real reason I got to photograph Bailey & David’s proposal! I was so excited to not only get back out on campus for Bailey’s senior session, but for it to be for such a precious occasion in celebrating her graduation from nursing school AND much to her surprise, her proposal! This was basically the only thing I kept on the calendar for the month of April, and it was a much needed piece of normalcy!
Bailey was in a group of senior Thetas I photographed in 2019, so I was delighted when she reached out just a few months later to book her individuals for this year! She was my very first OU 2020 senior to book – a whole 10 months in advance! I am honored that she values photography, this sweet season of celebration, and was excited to invest in the MFP senior experience. It was so fun to give her an extra special gift I put together for this group of girls dealing with all of this chaos – hopefully it is a sweet reminder of their favorite memories as an OU student and the beauty of our campus!
Bailey is one of the most endearing people I’ve met. She was easy going, excited, and so sweet to ask me all about the current happenings of my life and wedding planning! I was honestly SO nervous chatting with her and shooting with her because I knew I couldn’t let anything slip about what was to come at the end of the shoot! She’s been a trooper with all of the changes as she finished her nursing degree from OCU. I know neither of us ever expected things to look the way they did when we booked last year, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful that we had the opportunity to get her all dressed up and enjoy campus! Her mom and sister joined us for the shoot and got to take part in the proposal, too!
I hope y’all love these as much as I do!! She is natural beauty and radiates some much needed joy!
Cheers to the OU 2020 seniors!
