Eeeeek! I love a good Norman, Oklahoma engagement session!

Here are three ways I would describe Rachel & Berent:

• Ambitious
• Humble
• Energizing

When Rachel reached out, I knew we were going to hit it off right away. She’s been to my house a handful of times for the college ministry my roommate and I host so it was a huge blessing to get to know her on a more personal level! I am so excited to see her on Tuesday mornings in my living room!! We also both love the greenery and architecture on the OU campus, so when she mentioned shooting there, I knew we would be a perfect fit!! It is my favorite place in the world y’all!! So much variety and so much to see – and you can’t even tell it’s a college campus in these photos!

Even though they’re young, these two blew me away. I felt like I was hanging out with a couple that had already been married for years! I should give them more credit – they’ve been together since they were in high school!! Rachel and Berent love getting ice cream (it’s what they did on their first date!), serving together in the kids program at their church, and eating at their favorite restaurants in Norman. They made it through a bit of the long-distance thing in high school & then again the past couple of months, and they are finally getting married next summer! I loved chatting with them about their proposal on New Years Eve and how Berent is apparently terrible at keeping secrets from Rachel but he actually pulled off the surprise for this one 🙂
