What a treat! I told Whitney towards the end of our shoot how life giving our time together was, and that couldn’t have been more true. After 22 shoots on campus, it was a breath of fresh air getting to photograph these two in one of the most beautiful places in Oklahoma City – Myriad Gardens! Not only was there not a bad location in the park, but they are also one of the easiest couples I have had the honor of working with – they took direction well, are adorable together, and were naturals in front of the camera! I knew Whitney through OU Theta and have always looked up to her – I especially admire how poised and genuine she is, and I loved my time getting to chat with she and Garrett throughout our shoot about life in Yukon, Whitney’s job as a high school teacher and pom coach, and how much Garrett reminded me of Scott Disick, hah! (Random side note – I’m so glad we were scheduled for when we were because it looks like Myriad is closed for an undetermined amount of time after what happened to Devon earlier this week! So crazy!)

Whitney and Garrett celebrated FIVE years of marriage this past week and also just announced big news – they are having a baby in November! I loved getting to help them remember this exciting and expectant time in life while it is still just the two of them, but with the anticipation of all that is to come as new parents!
