Joyful Graduation Photo Inspiration | Abbie V. | OU 2020 Senior
Abbie – you are the most endearing and easy-going girl! I loved walking around campus with this new friend. I’ve talked a lot about how fun it is to really connect with my seniors, and Abbie was no exception. This year I have the most stellar class of graduates – we have had so many points of connection and shared interests, but it’s also been a joy to hear about their unique OU stories and experiences. And how this place has shaped them and prepared them for the next adventure!
Abbie let her guard down almost immediately, which made my job a breeze! She brought her Sooner spirit by way of her OU football jersey, and of course we had to catch some of the most epic “champagne” popping shots ever. If you’ve ready my blog before, you might know my secret to getting these just right, but for some reason this go-around was one of the best ever! I think part of it was that I LOVE the tones and colors in her dress and how they matched Evans Hall, but of course the spray effect and her sheer JOY are what make it!
In last week’s Lunch Break Blog, I shared about how I’ve been revisiting the basics and pulling myself out of somewhat of a rut, and Abbie’s photoshoot was a really great tangible example of the result of that work. We took a different route around campus than my normal path, and I ended up getting fairly creative with one or two new locations, angles, and looking for more layers! The best part is that they still look like “me” – like my classic MFP style, just with a fresh take in a few! The first shot below is a great example, along with the white stairs and white background a few pictures down!
I’ve got a few more girls left this month, and then we will be gearing up for the FALL season! If you’re a December graduate, or want to capture the fall in all it’s color and glory, let’s talk details! Between my wedding and a few COVID reschedules, I have limited availability left!
