WHY DISPLAY FAMILY PHOTOS?: POLISH THE MONUMENTS

I’ve been using this phrase for a couple years now, but this year was the year it became a cornerstone behind my work.

In 1 Samuel 7, after the Lord divinely delivers the Israelites from what looks like a sure defeat by the Philistines, Samuel set up the Ebenezer stone.

“Thus far the Lord has helped us”.

This monument served as a visible testament of God’s past faithfulness, His unchanging character, promises, and presence in times of trouble AND as a future reminder of comfort and assurance for believers.

God has helped, and God will help.

So too are we called to look back at our own lives and give thanks to God for how he has carried us through the valleys, mountain top moments, and everything in between.

Our “monuments” today are our photo collection that make up our lives and family legacy. They are perhaps the most tangible reminders we have of what the Lord has done.

My heart is not only to help you capture those photos, but also to preserve them so beautifully that when they’re displayed in your home, you can’t help but be grateful.
