Family Photos in Bartlesville | Fall 2020 Mini Sessions

This past weekend was my first official round of mini sessions for MFP! When I announced this opportunity back in August, I had no idea if anyone would be interested in booking these with an unfamiliar photographer who was new to town. Jonathan and I have been praying that my business would grow and thrive here like it has in Norman for the past 9 years. We believe that committing this desire to the Lord, giving it time, and continuing to do what I’ve been doing successfully since 2011, things will come together. It’s a present reminder to be faithful to Christ through this gift. I love photography. I love getting to meet new people and take pretty pictures. I love bringing joy to people through little moments of love in a photograph. But most importantly, my heart behind what I do is to steward the resources, experiences, and talents I’ve been given by God for His glory, to serve, to share the joy and love that I have in Christ.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

Mini sessions are similar, but abbreviated versions of a full session. Because of the shorter timeframe, I’m able to offer more availability…plus they are perfect for wiggly little kids, husbands who maybe aren’t huge fans of the photography experience, anniversary photos, updated photos with your new pup, or just for the heck of it! Most people book mini sessions for their holiday cards – it’s a great opportunity to take advantage of cooler weather, a beautiful fall backdrop, and a simple and efficient, no-frills process. This was the only time I offered these in 2020, and I am hoping next year will be even bigger and better! I LOVED the time I got to spend with each of these families, and am thrilled they were some of the first family photos in Bartlesville for MFP!

First up – the Eash family! We attend Hope Presbyterian Church with the Eash’s, and are so thankful for the time we’ve had with them thus far. The first time I met Katrina was RIGHT after Jonathan and I started dating and I remember she spoke so highly of him. It was so encouraging to hear so early on! They live within walking distance of us in downtown Bartlesville, and we adore their precious Eva!!

Next – Mallory, Thomas, and Wyatt!!! Sweet friends drove up from Tulsa for their session and we LOVED IT!!! Jonathan and I both think Wyatt is the cutest and funniest little kid…we love seeing Mallory’s photos and the adventures they go on together as he grows. For an almost 2-year-old, he did GREAT with a mini session! I wish we could have had more time with the Shannons, but I have no doubt we’ll be getting together this fall!

Last but not least, our favorite matchmakers, the Tabers! Emily and Tanner set up me and Jonathan (a year ago yesterday!). We love our intentional conversations, chatting politics, our faith, and worldview, and always feel so encouraged and supported by these dear friends.

 

Word of mouth recommendations have been a lifeline for MFP. It is the best feeling when my graduates, couples, and families are so happy with their experience and their photos, that they spread the word and share with their friends and family. My hope is that this is just the start of a new thread of that here in Bartlesville!
