2026 Bartlesville Father Daughter Dance Portrait Event

Every February, the Bartlesville Father Daughter Dance rolls around. And as a mom to two little girls myself, I am SO excited for them to be old enough to finally attend!
It’s the beautiful twirly dresses, the special occasion bows and jewelry that are so carefully coordinated. Curling the hair. And if your girls are anything like mine, there is definitely lip gloss or sparkles involved. Dad picks out his best suit or jacket, dressed in the best for his little girl or girls!
Watching it all unfold is one of the sweetest parenting moments!!
I know that being a photographer, I am spoiled by having professional portraits of my husband and our daughters taken regularly. They are treasured! I also know that not every family has that opportunity. Most families grab a quick iPhone photo by the front door before heading out, and of course those are meaningful in their own way.
But there is something really special about slowing it down and making the moment feel as important as it is!
Which is why I am so excited to offer a special father daughter portrait event in celebration of the 2026 Bartlesville Father Daughter Dance on February 21. CLICK HERE TO VIEW REMAINING SPOTS & BOOK.

A Bartlesville Daddy Daughter Dance Portrait Experience
These sessions are designed to feel like a treat for your girls!!
We’ll have roses on stems for the girls, a simple bench or stool, and a clean, minimal studio space! These will take place in a location just up the road from the Richard Kane YMCA, so it’ll be on their way!
The portraits will be classic, clean, and beautiful just like these test shots featured in this post! These are photos a little girl will look back on and remember how special she felt all dressed up on a date with her dad! And the portrait that still holds meaning years from now when this season feels far away.

Capturing Princess Dresses, Innocence, and the In-Between Years
Our relationships with our daughters change so quickly!
One day it is princess dresses, then it is dance costumes, and suddenly it is prom. It all happens faster than we expect, and this stage, the sweet in between deserves to be remembered.
Little girls want to feel beautiful and important, especially by their dad. They dream of being a princess for a night! Having this special quality time with their dad all dressed up, just for them, means more than we may realize.
For dads, it is a chance to pause and truly take in this season with their little girl. Even for the ones who swear they hate photos, I promise this will be quick and easy! For moms, it is one of those moments you savor, knowing time is moving faster than you’d hope!
These portraits honor your daughter’s youth, innocence, and the beauty of a little girl standing beside her dad, looking so grown up.
These will be beautiful images of who they are together right now, before dinner reservations, and before the music starts!

From My Family to Yours
Some of my favorite photographs I have ever taken are of my own husband with our girls. The relationship between a loving father and his daughters is deeply meaningful.
Photos that capture that is what I want to offer other families.
If your family is attending the Bartlesville Father Daughter Dance at the Richard Kane YMCA on February 21, I would love to photograph this chapter for you. This portrait event will become a part of their special evening. And a cherished way to take it in before the magic of the night unfolds!
Booking details for father daughter mini sessions can be found here! After you reserve your time, check out a few of my top picks for Bartlesville restaurants before the father daughter dance (even if it’s just for a Shirley Temple or appetizer!) I cannot wait to welcome these dads and daughters into the studio and celebrate such a meaningful tradition! Jump on the list below for more information about the event.
