Phew, it was so nice to have the weekend off after the last few days I’ve had! I went home for my mom’s 60th birthday festivities on Thursday night…we had a big dinner at the country club Friday with her side of the family, and then a friends & family BBQ at the house on Saturday “catered” by my brother-in-law (he is the BBQ king)! My immediate family is now up to 11 of us – Mimommy and Grandpa (my mom and dad), the 3 Foster girls, 2 husbands, and 4 kids between all of us! Jessica and I got together last week and had the best time chatting and walking around campus for her graduation photos. She felt like an old friend from the second I met her! That seems to be more and more of a rare occurrence these days – I’m officially 4 years out of school which is just crazy, so it’s always great to get to spend time with 22-year-olds and still feel like we are close in age haha. I don’t know if they bring out more of a youthful spirit in me, or if some of them are just more mature than most college seniors! Or maybe a bit of both!

Jessica is moving to Washington state here in the next few weeks, and is totally up for the adventure. When she first reached out about her senior photos, she actually had plans to go to Chicago! Some of you might know I spend my last three years of high school in Lake Forest, IL, so I was eager to hear about her big move! Turns out, BP transferred her to the Pacific Northwest so her plans to head to Chicago are on hold for now! Jessica is also a Theta, which just warms my heart because there is nothing I love more than getting to photograph a sister! Being in the house and getting involved in Theta contributed to some of her favorite college memories, along with game days (this girl knows the way to my heart!), Soonerthon, and U-Sing and Scandals!
