Will Rogers Garden Maternity Photos | Hope and Taylor

I think it’s safe to say that I am not the only one who has been anxiously anticipating this day! When Hope & Taylor got married almost six years ago, we were seniors in college and beyond ourselves giddy that the first friend in our Theta pledge class was walking down the aisle. To do this day, I still think their wedding was one of the best I’ve ever been to – everything from the personal touches in the ceremony, to the timing of each event throughout the night, to the massive dance party – it was one of my favorites! We’ve been through a lot of life since then, but knew it was only a matter of time before we got to celebrate the blessing of a new baby for these two!!! Not only is Hope a labor and delivery nurse, but she is one of the most maternal friends I have – gentle, empathetic, warm and easy to talk to. She is everything you could want in a momma!!!

I’ve photographed Hope and Taylor for years – they are no strangers to the blog and it is always a joy to have them in front of my camera! I think they spoiled me right off the bat as one of the first couples I ever photographed because they have such an ease and natural chemistry, even with a camera lens in their faces, hah! It is a blessing to photograph them through truly every season – dating, engaged, married, and now PREGNANT! How cool would it be if we got together for their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 44 years?? That would be crazy!

I absolutely loved getting to shoot at Will Rogers Gardens for the first time (and I am not mad at myself for having not been here sooner!), and can’t believe they are almost parents!!! Caroline is truly the luckiest to get to call these two mom and dad! I cannot wait to meet their sweet baby girl!!

On an unrelated note, this is my LAST lunch break blog before I take the full month of September off! I can’t believe we are that close to our wedding day! We will be busy with last minute details of wedding planning, a week off for our honeymoon, and tied up with our move and renovation! I’ll be checking my emails every few days throughout next month, but I am so excited to reset and recharge before a busy fall season!
