Romantic Lake Proposal | Chelsea & Anderson | Tulsa, OK Proposal Photographer

Oh my heavens!!! Where do I begin with this unbelievably romantic lake proposal!?!? Anderson and Chelsea’s big day is up there as one of my top five proposals ever!

When Anderson reached out, he told me he was thinking he might propose the same place they met – Camp Loughridge in Tulsa, OK! He couldn’t have picked a more perfect (or photogenic) spot! I knew I loved it at our location scout, but I was GIDDY upon arriving for the big day as light rain fell…there were endless opportunities to get creative with the fog and overcast lighting and it was SO serene and dreamy! It was just over a year ago that these two met up the road from the dock during a fall festival for their church. Anderson said it was amazing that they both ended up at the event because they each had to talk themselves into going in the first place, hah! Fellow introverts – you know how that goes!! Thank the Lord for His sovereignty over that night!

I was so thankful I was able to talk my husband into coming to Tulsa with me for the proposal! He had been planning on working through the afternoon, but I love having him at sessions with me. He brings a sense of calm and leveling that I always need. As anyone would, I get unbelievably nervous for proposals. Not because I’m all that worried, but because of the anticipation and surprise element and wanting it to be the absolute BEST it can possibly be. I have such a big role, but after helping pull off 25 of these, I still end up with sweaty palms and a pounding heart! This time, with Jonathan there, it felt like a breeze, AND after a joke about second shooting with my backup camera body, I ended up having a handy second shooter getting a few bonus shots! For his first time behind the camera, he crushed it!

We got in the car afterwards and I couldn’t help but gush over how full my heart was with this one. A darling, God-fearing couple, the most genuine joy, a peaceful setting, getting to take our time & enjoy our one-on-one time for engagement photos…it was the perfect proposal. Chelsea and Anderson – you always have a friend in me! Honored to know you, cheer you on, and celebrate this exciting season of life! All the best!!!
