OU Fall Senior Photos | Jema | Class of 2020
I remember the first time I worked with Jema – it was a quick photoshoot for a print piece we were adding to the admissions box experience that included instructions for the virtual reality headset. Jema was the cutest – she was easy going, easy to talk to, and the perfect height! I laughed about this at the time because it could have been a challenge to show both a little bit of her face AND the usage of the headset, had we picked someone taller! Since that shoot, I’ve gotten to know her a bit better through her shifts as a tour guide and of course following each other on Instagram! Something I love about Jema is that she doesn’t shy away from challenges. She’s a first generation college student and paved the way for her family in her pursuit of higher education. She’s also probably one of the most involved students on campus that I know…of course she’s an MVP tour guide, THE one and only CAC chair, Miss Hispanic OU 2017, Lead Team, PE-ET…the list goes on! There are so many reasons to love and adore Jema and it is no surprise that she holds so many leadership roles at OU. This girl has made the most of her time as a Sooner and it is a privilege to get to cheer her on along the way! Also can we talk about the pure joy she exudes? It’s contagious!
Fun-fact that I learned about Jema – she actually grew up on a farm in Yukon?! How fun is that? She was also chosen for this little mini-session giveaway late this summer. She has been incredibly supportive of my business and such a sweet face to see when I walk into Jacobson Hall. Enjoy these fun fall photos of her on campus!
