OU 2019 Graduate | Peyton | Norman Senior Photographer
I think my shoot with Peyton last night was one of the most fulfilling so far this year for a couple of reasons. 1. I ADORE Peyton! She is darling and easy going. 2. It seemed like all of the pieces kind of fell into place for her shoot – the lighting was perfect, weather was gorgeous, and campus is FINALLY green again which meant we got to shoot at some of my favorite spots! 3. Peyton’s hair, makeup, and outfits/colors couldn’t have been more perfect. Blues and greens are kind of the way to my heart for some reason, and she had both! I have to hand it to her for putting everything together as perfectly as she did, but I shouldn’t be surprised – she was on OU Pom all four years of college so this girl knows professional hair and makeup!
Peyton is from just outside of Denver, and something I was surprised to learn about her was that she didn’t attend her first OU football game until she was on Pom! What a way to experience a Sooner gameday! It was so fun to have her mom in town for the shoot too – she had been in Norman over the weekend for Mom’s Day and got to stick around an extra day to walk campus with us! You could tell these two are close, and they reminded me a lot of me and my own mom! Peyton and I are also both the youngest of 3 girls in our families, which might explain the mother/daughter dynamic similarity! 🙂
The funniest thing that happened on our shoot was when we were taking Peyton’s cap & gown photos in front of Bizzell Library. We were in-between poses and I noticed Peyton wave at someone behind me and then make a weird face. Not more than a second later, we were all giggling when we realized it was President Gallogly who had walked by and was the one waving at her! He was in his jeans and a t-shirt just going for a stroll on campus with his wife, Janet! You definitely don’t see that everyday! I loved how casually he was just out and about!
I’m so excited to see where Peyton ends up – she is looking at a couple of different cities and is applying to jobs in Advertising! This season is a bittersweet one, but I hope I was able to help bring some of the good out of all of the upcoming changes and unknowns! All my love, friend!
^This one is probably my all-time favorite of the season so far!!! Picture-perfect!!!
Peyton and her sweet momma!!! So glad that I’ve had the chance to meet a handful of my 2019 senior’s moms!! What a treat!!
