I had the privilege of photographing Vikki & Terry in the Myriad Gardens for their 50th wedding anniversary photos – yes – FIFTY YEARS. I’ve photographed couples who have been married 30 years and 40 years, but never 50! A wedding anniversary is a big deal, but half a century is a whole other thing. These two don’t even look old enough to have been married that long!

The funny ways I get connected with clients never ceases to amaze me. Vikki and Terry have one son, Keith, who used to work with my cousin’s wife, Mel! If you’ve been around recently, you know I took Matt & Mel’s engagement photos in Highland Park, Texas last fall, and they just got married a few weeks ago! Keith now actually lives in New York, and reached out to get these photos scheduled before his parents big party this weekend!

You know I couldn’t help but ask all the questions about how this whole thing got started – I love a good love story, and especially when it’s one that I get to hear personally, ask questions about, and when the couple is willing to share! These two met in high school, set up by friends of course! Vikki had to go check him out at the “filling station” before going out with him. Their first date was a full day…baseball game, trip to sonic, and a first kiss! They give credit to a solid commitment and not letting the sun go down on your anger for so many happy years together!

These two were pros in front of the camera! I hope you guys had the best time celebrating with friends & family a few weekends ago! Sending all my best to you two for many more years together!
