After shooting with Courtney & Kory this weekend, I left wishing that you could experience their personalities – the sweetness, excitement, humility, and the blessing that they are! I suppose that is part of why I’m a photographer – I love to capture those unique parts of a person’s soul and the feelings surrounding a new season of life for them to share with their friends and loved ones. And in the midst of the chaos of the world, the growing competition within the industry, and the constant distractions of every day life, I hope that I’m able to focus on & succeed in that honor. I just want you see what I see and experience when I’m with wonderful friends like these two.

There is so much more to Courtney & Kory than just preparing to be parents to a baby boy. They met at Kanakuk Colorado, later known as Kivu, where Courtney was MY COUNSELOR!! (And eventually helped recruit me to OU!) She grew up in Norman while Kory was just two hours north in Tulsa. They both ended up at OU, with a post-camp coffee date jump starting their love story. One of my favorite parts of shooting with them was seeing the many ways Kory served Courtney in the hour and a half we were together. From offering his coat, to grabbing her shoes for her, helping her put them on, and saying silly things to make her laugh and feel her very best – you don’t meet a lot of couples these days that love the way these two do. He was so thoughtful, and it was endearing to witness!

They are also freaking awesome crossfitters (Courtney’s continued doing it through her pregnancy like the BA she is!) & give all the Chip & Jo vibes after they renovated their Tulsa home over the past year or so! They are going to be THE BEST & most DARLING parents and I cannot wait for them to meet their little boy in just six weeks!
