Honestly, I thought this summer was going to be really slow. The Oklahoma heat feels never-ending come June and July, so I figured I wouldn’t have too much scheduled. Turns out, I underestimated and was way wrong. On top of being out of town four weekends in a row, I’ve had quite a few new friends reach out regarding professional headshots and I am LOVING IT! There are so many reasons to have professional photos taken, but here are my top three:

1. Look Professional

Regardless of your industry, it’s important to have a consistent professional appearance right off the bat. A headshot makes you easily identifiable, consistently professional, and you will look the part.

2. Stand Out

Anyone else cringe when they see a LinkedIn profile pic of someone from what you know was a college date party? Or a super small cropped photo from a group shot? Or a SELFIE?! Proper lighting, comfortable posing, direct eye contact, and a natural smile in a photo is sure to give a great first impression. You’ll stand out among your peers with a high-quality and visually pleasing image.

3. You’ll use it for everything

From your social media profile pictures to the bio photo when you land that speaking gig, you’ll have a shot you love to share! Consistency across platforms and uses will also make you easily recognizable!
