Taylor and Trevor are an original MFP couple – I photographed their engagements over FOUR years ago when I was still in college! It was a joy to have the opportunity to reconnect, and as I told Taylor, give them the real MFP experience now that I actually know what I am doing haha. While I’ve been a photographer and owned my business since 2011/2012, I wouldn’t say I really started building structure, confidence, and putting processes in place until 2016 or 2017. That’s when things got REAL and kind of started to blow up. It’s crazy to think that my infant/toddler years lasted as long as they did, and then all of a sudden it felt like I had a full-grown adult of a business overnight. This was largely thanks to the Katelyn James workshop I attended in Virginia. I don’t even know how I did business before that life-changing experience, and I loved having the opportunity to properly serve Taylor & Trevor for their gorgeous fall photos at Martin Nature in North OKC/Edmond!

Taylor and Trevor are two of my favorites because they giggle and love each other as if they are still in the newlywed stage! I hope I was able to capture a bit of that flirtiness because it was precious and life-giving! They have two of the cutest doggies too, Finn and Mellie, that joined us for a few snaps at the end. Come to find out, dogs actually aren’t allowed in Martin (oops), but we didn’t know that until we were all on our way. We were quick, took a couple within the parking lot, and made it happen! We also found out that there had been a MASSIVE buck roaming the park while we were there too – one of the guys in charge stopped by and told us to be alert and on the lookout because he had seen him go after a few groups of people earlier in the day. I (not knowing anything about deer) was shocked that this was a thing, and started asking Trevor allllll the questions. He is an avid hunter and outdoorsman which is something I admire! We actually ended up seeing the buck from a distance a few minutes later after joking about it and he was just as large and terrifying as I had imagined!

I LOVED getting to spend some time with these two. It truly felt like catching up with old friends, and it was an honor to be the one to help capture this time in their lives and their marriage!! I adore the Sweeneys!!!!
